Business friend of the Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology
In June 2018, the Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology in Utrecht was opened by our then Queen Beatrix. Since then, all children with cancer from all over the Netherlands have been treated at the Máxima. In the Netherlands, approximately 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and currently 1 in 4 children still die from this disease. The Princess Máxima Center has one ambition: to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life. To realize this mission, all knowledge and expertise in the field of pediatric oncological care and research has been brought together at Máxima. That makes the difference. It is a huge step forward, so that every child with cancer receives the best tailor-made treatment and more importantly: a greater chance of survival.
Tricorp wants to contribute to this mission. That is why we are business friends of the Princess Máxima Center and we contribute to:
- the most important miss: 100% cure, 0% side effects;
- Progressive research into innovative treatment methods that increase survival rates;
- The talent program in which the center trains doctors and researchers to become specialists in pediatric oncology.
Important dates on which we pay extra attention to this goal:
- February 15: World Childhood Cancer Day
- June 5: the anniversary/opening date of the Princess Máxima Center
- September: Childhood Cancer Month
