ROM88 forms the basis for the casual work clothes from Tricorp. After taking over the brand in 2000, Tricorp has continued to expand this line. This is how our Casual label was born. This line is characterized by work clothing that is popular and timeless. Wearing comfort and durability are also two important pillars of our Casual label. Back to basics: the credo of Tricorp Casual, a label whose story starts with ROM88.

ROM88: FOUNDER OF QUALITATIVE WORKWEAR

In the late 1980s, people in the Netherlands were not satisfied with the work clothing that was available. In particular, the fit, wearing comfort and quality left much to be desired. In addition, there was extreme color loss, high shrinkage and a strong decrease in quality of the fabric after washing. Because the then producers of work clothing and promotional textiles could not meet the demands of the market, ROM88 seized the opportunity.

ROM88: REVOLUTIONARY ALTERNATIVE IN THE WORKWEAR INDUSTRY

The clothing label ROM88 was developed by Peter van de Poel as an alternative to the low-quality and mediocre work clothing that was available at the time. The name ROM88 is derived from Romanweg 88 in Oss, the place where the label was conceived and developed. High quality, wearing comfort and beautiful fits were the building blocks of the revolutionary ROM88 collection. These values ​​still form the basis for Tricorp's entire range today. Just like ROM88, Tricorp was founded to provide professionals with better work clothing. For that reason, ROM88 was acquired by Tricorp in 2000. The label fitted in seamlessly with our collection. ROM88 is fashionable clothing that can be worn casually and at the same time function as work clothing. Even if it is worn and washed intensively, there is no loss of quality.

ROM88 CHANGES INTO TRICORP CASUAL

In 2015, ROM88 was renamed Tricorp Casual. This made the line a better fit with our other labels: Workwear, Corporate and Specials. Later the labels became Premium and Safety added to this. Tricorp Casual consists of an extensive collection of polo shirts, sweaters and T-shirts in various colors and models. The range has remained true to ROM88's original vision. The corporate identity and quality that you have come to expect from ROM88 can therefore remain part of your clothing package.
