In this article we explain how you can measure your sizes for our work clothes. In the size chart you can then read what your clothing size is, based on your measured measurements. To determine your work clothing size, you need to measure four sizes. The following sizes apply for outerwear:
- Chest size (chest width)
- Waist (waist width)
- Hip circumference (hip width)
To determine your trouser size you only need the following size:
- Waist (waist width)
TIPS FOR MEASURING SIZES FOR WORK CLOTHING
How do you ensure that you measure your sizes correctly? We always give four tips for advice on how to take your measurements correctly:
- Use a measuring tape
- Do not pull (too hard) on the measuring tape; this can cause the measuring tape to stretch, causing the measurements to not be recorded correctly
- Do not wear thick clothing while measuring
- Have someone else measure your measurements so that the sizes can be read properly
MEASURING SIZES FOR WORK CLOTHING IN STEPS
STEP 1: MEASURING THE UPPER WIDTH
The upper width is the widest point of the chest circumference. Recording the upper width differs for men and women. Women should hold the measuring tape at the level of the nipples to measure the upper width. Men hold the measuring tape just below the armpits to measure the upper width.
STEP 2: MEASURING WAIST WIDTH
The waist width can be measured by wrapping the measuring tape around the (natural) waist. Your waist is the narrowest part of your torso.
STEP 3: MEASURING THE HIP WIDTH
The hip width is the widest point of the hips. Take the measurement by wrapping the measuring tape around the widest point of the hips.
