What is organic cotton?

Organic cotton is grown without genetically modified seeds and without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers. This keeps the soil free of harmful substances and allows it to retain water better, leading to lower water consumption. The cotton is also picked manually, so that the quality of the fiber is preserved. The result is a natural raw material that is not only better for the environment, but also comfortable to wear and suitable for intensive daily use. In addition, organic cotton is skin-friendly and easier to wrinkle-free thanks to its natural elasticity.

What is the difference between regular and organic cotton?

Use of pesticides: Regular cotton is often grown with toxic chemicals that are harmful to people and the environment. These substances can lead to soil impoverishment, pollution of drinking water and health problems.
Water consumption and water management: Regular cotton generally uses more water. Organic cotton is mainly grown in areas where there is sufficient natural precipitation, so irrigation is often not necessary and rainwater is used, for example.
Land use and soil health: Because organic cotton does not use chemicals, the soil remains fertile and can be used long-term and repeatedly for the cultivation of other crops.
