THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TROUSERS AND OVERALLS

The big difference between overalls and dungarees, also called American overalls, is that the dungarees only cover the upper body to a limited extent. As a result, for example, they offer no protection to the arms and the dungarees are almost always worn in combination with a T-shirt or sweater. Overalls, on the other hand, cover the entire body. TROUSERS: A CENTURY-OLD TRADITION OF WORKWEAR

Dungarees and overalls have been used as work clothing for centuries. At the end of the 19th century, dungarees were first produced through mass production by the well-known clothing manufacturer Levi Strauss. The first jeans he produced were technically dungarees, because the suspenders were attached to the jeans.

The overalls were originally worn by boiler cleaners. They had to chip away scale from steam boilers, which was a dirty job. In the 20th century, dungarees and overalls became particularly popular among young people and today they are still a common fashion item. Despite this, dungarees are still most commonly worn as work clothes.

The American Overall Twill Cordura is made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton with a Twill Mechanical Stretch fabric quality. As you have come to expect from us, this item is available in a wide size range, from size 42 to 66. In addition, these dungarees have a double hem for 6 cm extra length. THE OVERALL TWILL CORDURA

The multi-purpose Overall Twill Cordura has the same fabric quality and is available in the same sizes and colors as the American Overall Twill Cordura. For extra comfort, there is a stretch panel on the lower back of the overalls and an elastic in the waistband. A reflective print has been applied to the chest pockets and thigh pockets. Above the chest pockets there are loops where you can hang something or, for example, insert a walkie-talkie. The lower part of the overalls has a hammer loop, thigh pockets and extra sturdy Cordura knee pads. The overalls have belt loops, so you have the option to wear a belt or attach Swing Pockets. Finally, the cuffs of the sleeves are adjustable with Velcro and there is a storm flap over the 2-way zipper. We also offer this overall in five cool colors: army, ink, navy, dark gray and black.

HIGH CARRYING COMFORT AND SUFFICIENT STORAGE SPACE

The Tricorp dungarees also offer many storage options thanks to the various pockets. These dungarees have a large pocket on the chest. The thigh pockets are loose at the bottom, which provides extra freedom of movement. These are also kept free of stitching seams so that you can optimally print the bags. Are you still looking for more storage options? Then you can easily use the Swing Pockets Cordura attach to these dungarees. Thanks to the wear-resistant Cordura knee pads, the American Overall Twill Cordura can also be used for heavy work. Tricorp also has knee pads which are available separately, for extra reinforcement and comfort. These can be used at two heights.

UNDERWEAR IN WINTER

For professionals who work outside a lot during the winter period, we recommend wearing a Thermo Shirt and Thermo Underpants to wear. This ensures that the body temperature remains constant. These items consist of 84% bamboo viscose, 11% elastane spandex and 5% polyester.

BICOLOR DUNGEONS AND OVERALLS FOR HIGH VISIBILITY

There are various outdoor professions where high visibility is a requirement. That is why our dungarees and overalls are also available in a High Vis Bicolorvariant, part of the Tricorp 20/20 Vision line. These are the American Overall High Vis Bicolor and the Overalls High Vis Bicolor . The American Overall High Vis Bicolor is EN ISO 20471 class 1 certified and the Overall High Vis Bicolor is EN ISO 20471 class 3 certified.

EN ISO 20471 is the European standard for high visibility. With work clothing that meets this standard, the wearer is more conspicuous in dangerous situations, both day and night. Our High Vis Bicolor dungarees and overalls are available in three colours: fluorescent yellow, fluorescent orange and fluorescent red. The dungarees and overalls are also available in an Ink version with fluorescent accents, for when high visibility is not a requirement, but you still want to stand out more.

BODY TROUSERS: A COMBINATION BETWEEN TROUSERS AND OVERALLS

There is a third option in the High Vis line: the body pants. This is a combination of dungarees and overalls. The shoulders are covered and the sides are completely open. The body pants are best described as overalls without sleeves.
